McCain on Iraq...100 years and counting
Posted by Moira Whelan
As everyone eyes Iowa, a late breaking development from the Straight Talk Express. McCain was just in a Q&A with reporters, and essentially said he'd be good with occupying Iraq for 100 years. Lets see how long the McCain "surge" lasts...
Here's the back and forth, footage to follow:
Q: President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years -- " (cut off by McCain)
McCain: "Make it a hundred."
Q: "Is that ..." (cut off)
McCain: "We've been in South Korea ... we've been in Japan for 60 years. We've been in South Korea 50 years or so. That would be fine with me. As long as Americans ..."
Q: [tries to say something]
McCain: "As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. That's fine with me, I hope that would be fine with you, if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where Al Queada is training and equipping and recruiting and motivating people every single day.
Update: Here is the footage...and FYI...that's Joe Lieberman on stage with him.
What a moron.

What McCain seems to be ignoring is the financial costs of having troops everywhere. With the increaasing federal debt and the falling dollar, the U.S. cannot continue having an expasionist foreign policy.

Yet another reason not to vote for him.

John Mccain knows what he's talking about when it comes to this issue. He called for an increased number of troops in Iraq, and the plan worked. Mccain definetely deserves the nomination..good for him for standing up for what he believes in.

We need to end this type of insanity in the U.S.
We need to leave Korea, Japan, Germany ect
WE CAN'T AFFORD THIS ANYMORE!
Today the Fed loaned the banks 60 Billion dollars with out a single vote by our representatives in the house or senate.
That is money from our pockets direct to the banks. Who will pay for this? When will it end?
I'm a lifelong Republican who can't believe how far to the left these candidates have gone. STOP SPENDING MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

Don, may not be afraid of John McCain, but I certainly am. Aren't we unpopular enough with the rest of the world? Do we have to have more years of trying to force an alien culture on other people, killing those who resist, squandering our capital to quarter unwanted troops, and planting a flag to remind them who is the enemy? It's bad enough that our citizens who visit foreign lands try to make them little Americas selling Tanzanite and burgers, but what's worse is that we inadvertently destroy their economies and their natural resources, e.g. take a look at what the cruise ships have done to the Caribbean islands they visit. If McCain wins, I'm going to wear a Canadian Maple Leaf when I travel.

I know some will call it anti-semitism, but the fact is these clowns do Israel's and AIPAC's bidding.
These people don't want peace in the middle east, they want the oil and an enslaved Iraq. The only difference bewteen Iraq today and plantations in the US and the Caribbean 200 years ago is the slaves don't have to be transported in, there are enough of the local population for that.
The McCainchurian Candidate, Liebensraumman and George Putz view muslims as 3/5ths of human, just as the slavers did.
