Bhutto says Bin Laden was Murdered? Posted by Shadi Hamid

Ok, this is really weird. David Frost is interviewing Benazir Bhutto on his Al Jazeera program (from November). Strangely enough, at 6 min 12 s, Bhutto says that Osama Bin Laden was murdered by Omar Sheikh. Did she mean to say Daniel Pearl (it's not as if their names are similar)? Strangely enough, Frost didn't correct her, nor did Bhutto clarify her statement. Take a look and if you have any idea what's going on here, please share.

To start, I have not listened to the video in its' entirety, the overwhelmingly aggressive rap music in the background of my friend's corner office prevents my playing it with a complete ear, however, I fully grasp, with grave countenance, the loss of Benazir Bhutto. She was more than a political rock in a sea of intangible Pakistani politics, she was a sweet hope for LIBERTY that all the western world, and the Pakistani people, could taste without a hint of bitterness. While internal affairs are best left to to the state in which they occur, this is the exception. For the U.S. to sit casually on a velvet sofa and throw change at an autocratic military regime (Musharaff and company) and hope for democracy to be implemented without direct involvement, justified by claims to respect the nationalism of the Pakistani people, is not not only wrong, it's a grave decision. The War on Terror, while a nice, if not completely ill, gesture, cannot continue at the expense of tacit approval of the oppression of the civil liberties of the Pakistan people. When did the bullet become more important than the ballot? This is the time for liberal reform. It's not censorship, Brian, it's editing. If the BBC wants tyo edit a false claim out of an interview, they have the right to do so.
