Ready for Rapture Israel?
Posted by Lorelei Kelly

Seems the Armageddon Lobby was in DC again in mid July. The intrepid Max Blumenthal covered the event and the video is posted here. Despite being very explicit about the need for right-wing religious types and American Jews to band together on a pre-emptive strike on Iran, they obfuscate and wobble when asked about how end time scenarios fit into their lobbying scheme. Looks like their press people- at least-- have gone through the Leadership Institute i.e. spin camp for the Righteous. Why, oh Why Joe Lieberman do you show up at these events? Do you realize you're sharing the dais with felons? Advice for Jews and Christians alike...um. RUN!

The Bible mentions Armageddon only once, in Revelation 16:16: "And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon." The Greek word Armageddon comes from two Hebrew words: Har Megiddo, meaning "the hill of Megiddo."

The common (but misleading) notion is that Armageddon will be the last, climactic battle to be fought on earth between the powers of good and evil. However, this is not quite right in several crucial respects.

Armageddon–or more likely the large broad Valley of Jezreel, or Esdraelon, which Megiddo overlooks–will in fact be the staging area for the final great battle of this age, but not the site of the battle itself. That is set not at Meggido but in the Valley of Jehoshaphat–commonly reckoned to be the Kidron Valley, immediately adjacent to Jerusalem (see Joel 3:2,9-16).

Notwithstanding the popular concept of the Battle of Armageddon, the Bible makes no specific prediction for a war fought at Armageddon between two human armies precisely at Christ’s return. However, the Bible does say that the armies of the East and West will be drawn to the infamous valley by lying demons (Revelation 16:14). From there they will march to Jerusalem. There they will fight the returning Jesus Christ (Revelation 14:14-20; 16:14; 19:11-21; Joel 3:12-14).

"Lying demons'--now who could that be?

Do people believe this stuff? A recent Gallup poll found that about one-third of the American adult population believes the Bible is the actual word of God and is to be taken literally word for word.

Incidentally, the rapture index is now at 156, rather high but not as high as the peak last year.

Well, if there is a rapture...it is for the 'tares' (weeds). since He says He will remove the tares first from the wheat. and throw the tares into the firey furnace. so..don't want to be raptured out. Plus, the so-called rapture wasn't implimented until the 1800's.

I would like to say by being judgmental rather than listen to Pastor Hagee and read the verses he gives, you'll see everything he says is in the Bible. Rapture will happen. Please repent your sins and you'll be forgiven of all your sins and you'll have a chance to go to heaven.
